The New World is a game that has been developed by the team at Funcom, and it is set to be released on Steam Early Access in 2019. This game features many different attributes such as crafting, hunting, mining, and more. In this article we will discuss how these attributes affect gameplay.

New World is a game that was released in early 2016. It has been praised for its graphics and gameplay, but also criticized for how attributes work in the game.

In New World, the Attributes system dictates how your character will develop throughout the game. You’ll have to think about a lot of things when it comes to point allocations, weapon choices, and threshold perks. Here’s a cheat sheet to assist you with your character’s Attributes in New World.

Your character has five points in each of the Attributes at the start of the New World game. Then, as your character progresses, you’ll be granted more Attribute points to use. You’ll get two points for each level from 2 to 13. At various moments from level 14 forward, you’ll earn three to five points.

In the New World, there are five major characteristics.

These points are then manually given to New World’s five major attributes:

  • Swords, Hatchets, and Warhammers all have a main attribute called Strength (STR). This has an impact on mining as well.
  • Dexterity (DEX) is the main characteristic for both ranged and melee weapons, such as bows and muskets. It also aids in the peeling process.
  • The Fire Staff and Ice gauntlet’s main characteristic is Intelligence (INT). This also has an impact on your harvesting ability.
  • The Life Staff, which is utilized for healer builds, is the only weapon that utilizes this as an attribute.
  • CON (Constitution) – There are no weapons with this characteristic. It does, however, control your health pool and mitigation, making it helpful for tank builds.

New World, unlike other role-playing games, does not have rigid class structures. As a result, you have complete freedom in assigning points to the Attributes that you want to maximize. Resetting is also free until level 20, at least. You’ll need to spend some gold after this.

Weapons have primary and secondary characteristics.

Furthermore, in New World, weapons are controlled by a main Attribute, which allows their damage to scale higher based on how many points you’ve assigned to that stat. There are a few weapons, though, that utilize Attributes as a supplementary stat. If you level up this Attribute as well, their damage will still climb somewhat.

For damage scaling reasons, the Rapier, for example, utilizes DEX as a main stat and INT as a secondary stat. When it comes to weapon combos in New World, this should come in handy. When you employ the Rapier for melee attacks and the Fire Staff for magical attacks, here is an example. If you increase your INT, you may be sure that both of these weapons’ DPS will increase.

When you achieve each milestone, you’ll be rewarded.

Finally, keep track of the perks and passives that trigger when you hit specific Attribute thresholds in New World. Once you’ve placed 50 points into a specific Attribute, you’ll get your first bonus. At 100, 150, 200, 250, and 300 points, the following ones are triggered.
