A single game has caused significant backlash for Starlink after the company failed to provide adequate communication and information. With their new update, they’ve made it easier to cancel preorders with less hassle
The “starlink update” is a game that was originally slated for release on October 16, 2018. However, due to lack of communication and order delays, customers are canceling their preorders.

Due to chip shortages, Starlink has had to postpone orders. In May, the satellite-based internet provider reported that it had received more than 500,00 preorders, but many consumers are canceling due to delays and poor customer care. Customers who spoke to Business Insider expressed dissatisfaction with Starlink’s lack of contact about their purchases. Some people were aware of the chip scarcity, while others reached a breaking point after months of silence from the corporation.
When can I expect to get my Starlink?
You will get a confirmation email with your order number, service, and delivery address if you place your purchase where we have coverage and capacity, and you can access your shipment information on your Account page. Starlink Kits are usually delivered in 2 weeks.
If you’re ordering in a location where we don’t have coverage or capacity, you’ll notice an expected service date on the order page, which you can also see on your Account page. We’ll send you an email when service is available in your region, and you’ll have the option to amend your shipping, service, and payment information, or cancel your purchase. In each location, orders will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. As the number of satellites in orbit grows, we will be able to handle more users per region.
Due to a lack of silicon, manufacturing has been delayed, affecting our capacity to fulfill orders. Please check your Account page for the most up-to-date estimate on when your purchase will be delivered.
According to a former Starlink VP, the user terminal, which incorporates components found in autos, is the source of the delay. This was mirrored by the CEO of another satellite internet company, who said:
Insider spoke with James Yenbamroong, CEO and creator of mu Space, a satellite internet service provider. “It’s a worldwide hunt for chips,” he said. “We’re facing chip shortages for Starlink since their user terminal chips are produced on the same line as electronics and automotive chips.”
In October, Starlink intended to end beta testing. Many clients have yet to get service. Customers who canceled their subscription, on the other hand, were promptly refunded in full.
